Barcelona-based fashion consultant, influencer, stylist and jewelry designer Blanca Miró is the ultimate fashion industry multi-hyphenate and she knows how to give sartorial attitude. She’s the girl that will make you wonder why tie-dye T-shirts never took off beyond the hippie cohort, and convince any style savvy posse that hip-hop ensembles are back in vogue. But that’s if she’ll deign to wear them — Scrimieri has discerning, and also incredibly on point, taste.

ON HER PERSONAL STYLE
I honestly think my style is a mix. A wide variety of looks inspire me and I simply pick up what I identify with. The essentials in my wardrobe are a pair of Levi’s and a perfect leather jacket.

ON HER STYLE INSPIRATIONS
I don’t have someone in particular that inspires me. Things like music, books and magazines have more of an effect on me, but, if I had to choose someone, it’ll have to be Jane Birkin or David Bowie.

ON RAIDING SOMEONE ELSE’S CLOSET
If I could steal someone’s wardrobe, I would go for Julia Sarr-Jamois, the fashion editor of i-D magazine. If it were a store, I’d definitely go for Gucci. I’m loving Alessandro Michele’s designs!

ON HER PRIZED FASHION POSSESSION
The treasure in my wardrobe is a vintage chocolate brown Hermès Kelly bag. I found it in Paris at the vintage store Lorette & Jasmin during the last fashion week. A very good friend that lives in Paris took me to the shop and they had one in brown and the other in black. I didn’t even have to think about it — you don’t find a vintage Kelly everyday.

ON HER GREATEST SHOPPING WEAKNESS
I can’t resist bags and sunglasses. I would say it’s more than a weakness… maybe even an illness! I just think that accessories make an outfit. You can wear a basic T-shirt and a pair of jeans but if you’re wearing quirky accessories, it changes everything. My latest sunglass purchase is a pair from Loewe; those really huge ones from the SS16 runway.

ON THE MOST OVERRATED FASHION TREND OF ALL TIME
Extreme thinness. I’m not sure if the larger brands have started moving away from this yet, but there are some smaller labels that have taken steps to work against this. For anyone who looks towards extreme thinness as a body ideal, my best advice is to simply find the clothes that will make you happy with your own body — that’s what’s important.

ON HER FASHION WEEK MANTRA
I have no rules over how I dress, not even for fashion weeks. I just pack a lot of things that I think will fit the place and weather, and decide as the week goes on. The only time I have rules on how I should dress is when NYFW in February comes about, and my only thought is not to freeze but yet still look cool!
