Grotta Azzurra is a stunning sea cave illuminated by an other-worldly blue light. Giardini di Augusto, was founded by Emperor Augustus and rise in a series of flowered terraces to a lookout point offering breathtaking views over to the Isole Faraglioni, a group of three limestone stacks that rise out of the sea. Africana has been going since the ’50s, when Jackie Kennedy was just one of the famous VIP guests. CANNES
BE A CELEBRITY IN THE CROISETTE
Except of the film festival? You should go to the oldest quarter of Cannes, Le Suquet, known for its wonderful views towards the bay. This Old Town on a hill is the “birthplace” of Cannes and faces the Old Port which dates back to 1838. Also, take a walk to the palm-lined promenade of La Croisette. The stunning boulevard is lined with luxury hotels and designer boutiques, but you can also soak up the lovely views of the bay, the Esterel mountains, and the art deco architecture of the buildings. ZANZIBAR
THE LAND OF ANCIENT TALES
Step off the boat or plane onto the Zanzibar Archipelago, and you’ll be transported through the centuries – to ancient Persia and tales of Shirazi merchants, to the court of Swahili princes and Omani sultans, to India, with its heavily laden scents. Stone Town: If Zanzibar Town is the archipelago’s heart, Stone Town is its soul. It’s magical jumble of cobbled alleyways make it easy to spend days wandering around.
