A «CODE» GIRL WHO KNOWS HOW TO INSPIRE

It’s no secret that Despoina Isopoulou (aka Youstrikemyfancy) is a CODE girl. Every month she curates a street style editorial that truly captures her style and turns trends into everyday looks to inspire our readers.

ON CAREER

I started my career as a Fashion Editor at Vogue (Hellas) magazine thirteen years ago when I met the then Fashion Director Michael Pandos,  who took me on board. In 2011 I became Online Editor of the official website. It was in 2010 when I started my own blog “YouStrikeMyFancy”, so I could share my experiences as a fashion insider.
Today I am a fashion editor, writer & consultant. Occasionally, I put my skills into practice for fashion shows and campaigns.

HER BEAUTY REGIME

Over the last year, I have developed a rather time-consuming beauty routine which has been proved to be very fruitful, however. I have an oily and very sensitive skin so I wash my face every day and night with Murad Time-Release Acne Cleanser. After that, I use a micellar water and more specifically the Sebium Purifying Cleansing Micelle Solution by Bioderma, a true beauty hero. moisturizing mist comes after that, which helps my skin to absorb deeply all the products that will follow. Then it’s time for the serum. I currently use the Blue Serum by Chanel, which I love. Murad Anti-Aging Moisturizer SPF 30 is next on the menu.

HER TYPICAL DAY

As soon as I wake up early in the morning I start writing, with the aim to be done with it until noon, when usually I have to do appointments, visit showrooms or attend fashion and beauty presentations. In the afternoon I try to be at home and spend time with my 20 months old son. After he goes to bed I prefer to relax, but there’s usually more work waiting for me on my laptop.
About fashion blogging: Most people think that this job is all about fun. The truth is – and the least expected – that it is not as fancy, easy and superficial as it seems. It needs a lot of effort and hard work!
