Micellar water has gained popularity over the past few years as a light yet effective cleanser and makeup remover. Models swear by them, and every makeup artist has one in their kit. This soft water took its name from the science behind the product -a technological breakthrough by Jean-Noël Thorel- the so-called «micelles». Micelles are gentle microscopic molecules, invisible to the human eye, with an oil-loving “tail” and a water-loving “head”. The “tail” attracts dirt, oil and makeup while the “head” dissolves impurities so they can easily be wiped away without drying out the skin.
